Wadhurst Summer Music Festival - Music in Hospitals

Jack Foley (tenor) and Richard Link (pianist) came to Fazan Court, Wadhurst at lunchtime and Weald Hall in the afternoon as part of the Summer Music Festival, to entertain local residents with a programme featuring songs from the shows, from London and from the 70’s.  Jack started a career in singing as a result of Operatunity on Channel 4 and mixes that career with a busy schedule of entertaining people in residential homes and hospitals with his partner Richard.  Their recipe of music and humour brought smiles to the faces, tapping to the feet and on occasions eruptions of dancing on the floor: all in all a memorable afternoon’s entertainment for those who, otherwise, might not be able to get to concerts in the church or the Commemoration Hall.

The concert is brought to Wadhurst by Music in Hospitals, a charity whose aim is to take music into hospitals, hospices, day care centres and nursing and residential homes for the enjoyment of people who might otherwise not be able to get to other venues and was sponsored by Women of Wadhurst.
